Carbonlites here, New Salotomics in testing, Weekly wax specials, wax predictions for upcoming races

Exciting things happening this week.  We received the last of the 2006-7 production of Fischer Carbonlites, we have six pairs of the completely redesigned 2008 Salomon skis to test out and lots is going on at the shop as well as on the race scene.

We just received a shipment of Fischer Carbonlites and we have 16 pairs that are unaccounted for.  We will be unpacking them Wednesday and will have a list of what we have posted later this week.

We also just received 6 pairs of the 2008 Salomon skis to test out.  These are a complete redesign and are the first pre-production releases to come out of the Atomic Factory.  We have not had a chance to play around with them much, but it is obvious that they are light and there are some exciting features that we're looking forward to testing on the snow and on our flex bench.  More on those test results soon...

Bust out the cold waxes, sharpen your scrapers and put on eye protection: the weather for this week's Colorado racing looks to be cold, cold and cold.  For Saturday's Devil's Thumb Pursuit, low temps are predicted to be -2F warming up to 15F by race time with a 20% chance of snow.  This should feel balmy after last year's race went off at -18F.

Last weekend our ZR1XL grind with LF6 was running exceptionally well for the warmer than expected Snow Mountain Classic and ZR1, ZR1XL and even ZR2 were reported to do well during the frigid Winter Triathlon on Sunday.  We are doing one grind batch each week.  Get the skis to us by Monday at noon and we turn them around by Friday at noon.

We will again be running a cold wax special this week that includes a cold wax layer overnight in the heat box finished off with a final race layer brushed and polished to perfection for $35.  Bring your skis in by Thursday at noon and they will be ready to pick up Friday afternoon.  We will have our test fleet out testing in Winter Park, so stay tuned for updates.
