Weather for the the Owl Creek Chase looks interesting. Predictions of 20-30% chance of snow in the next few days could change conditions dramatically. Current snow conditions are older snow with some dirt from the winds and melting. A significant portion of the trail is in the shade, so there will be fresher, dryer snow as well. If the new snow materializes, then it will clean things up and soften the trail, but if no signficant precipitation develops, look for high fluoros to be mandatory. We'll be testing Friday and be sure to check back in for updates.
