The COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath caused significant disruption in the bike service world. During this time, the rise of Pro's Closet absorbed over 150 bike mechanics from the region while the need for mechanics in local bike shops was at its peak. This was a tough time to provide the level of service we strive to attain, simply because we could not fill our service staff out the way we wanted to.
Luckily, the pendulum has begun to swing in the other direction. While many shops are still struggling to fill their mechanic positions, we have made a concerted effort to recruit some of the best technicians in the area. The result is the best service department we have had in years, and we have a short turnaround time while many shops are currently scheduling out work weeks in advance. Many small services, such as derailleur and brake adjustments, can be completed on the same day. Tune-ups and other larger services, like brake bleeds, require scheduling in advance. You can make an appointment and drop your bike off the night before or the morning of your service appointment and, in most cases, get your bike back the same day.
