The Salomon S/Race Skate Boot is one of our favorite boots because it does everything well. The addition of the BOA Fit System provides a surprisingly noticeable upgrade to the previous generation S/Race. Fit is excellent and comfortable for a wide range of foot types; they are light, the sole is stiff and stable for power transfer and support in all aspects of the skating stride, they are well-made, have a clean design, and are durable. This is not as light and stiff as the S/Lab Skate boot, but it is pretty close and amazing. It's hard to beat at any price, but it is competitive with all the high-end carbon boots, which are significantly more expensive.
