LABOR - XC Hot Box Service HB+

The Boulder Nordic Sport hot box plus service is a two-stage wax treatment that starts with a metal brushing of the ski to clean and remove any dead base material, followed by a saturation wax step with a hot-box specific Rode Thermo wax that bakes at low temperature for 6-8 hours. We then scrape that layer and apply a hardening layer of Holmenkol Beta Mix Red mixed with a special hardener that runs in the box for 90 minutes at a higher temp. The skis end up getting refreshed and filled with wax as well as starting the hardening step to get toward race-ready skis. This service does not include scraping & brushing the final layer.
