Wednesday Morning Velo and Superville Omnium are back!Jump on the train with two great new events coming right to our doorstep this week. Don't miss out!
Wednesday Morning Velo is back in gear!
The 23rd season of Wednesday Morning Velo, Boulder's networking ride of choice, kicks off Wednesday, May 17th at 6:30 am at Gateway Fun Park on Hwy 36.
NEW THIS YEAR: The rides are led by regular ride leaders, not the sponsors (unless they choose to). We still have the same groups with Road Threshold, Road Tempo, Road Endurance, Gravel Tempo, and Gravel Endurance. You can view the routes below, but please listen up before the ride for day-of changes!
With all groups, the outbound pace will allow conversation so we can network and get to know others.
What group should you ride with?
Road Threshold: Lots of climbing! Be ready to throw it down on the return and mix it up with former pro cyclists and current Cat 1-3 racers. (This week's route).
Road Tempo: Still fast with very experienced riders. The pace line is around 20-22 mph. (This week's route with optional Olde Stage).
Road Endurance: Be comfortable in a group with a pace line of around 15-17 mph. (This week's route).
Gravel Tempo: Fast and bumpy with the occasional single-track over Joder Ranch or cattle guards on the Left Hand Trail. On the roads, this group's pace line will be 17-20 mph. (This week's route).
Superville Omnium is this Weekend!
Don't miss out on three days of some of the best racing in Colorado, right on our doorstep!
From the Organizers:
Cycling, like life, is about balance. Being able to win requires a skill set in all types of terrain, conditions, and formats. For 2023 we're excited to combine three of our best spring road races into a brand new 3-day omnium. The best part is that you can pick one day, two days, or race all three. Scoring in the omnium will reward racers who come out each day, but there's no special requirements to earn points in the final rankings. Select each day of racing below for more info and to sign-up. Scroll a bit further down to see our new "easy to follow" omnium points format.
