Rollerski Roundup
The transition to skiing on snow can be tough, but rollerskiing during the summer can help you stay fit and be ready for that transition better than any other activity. The skills and fitness gained on rollerskis are incredibly valuable for those races between December and March. But where do you even start? With so many options out there, it's not easy to know what to look for in a good pair of rollerskis. That's where we come in! We've briefly broken down the Fischer lineup here, check out the full article on our website for more information on these and the other rollerskis we carry.
Fischer RC5: For the recreational skier, the middle or high school athlete, or anyone on a budget, the Fischer RC5 is a fine choice. It's a no-frills option that features smaller wheels than most other rollerskis, keeping it easy to maneuver for younger athletes.
Fischer RC7: A step up from the RC5 in performance, the RC7 features full-sized wheels that make this ski a bit faster than the RC5. This ski is the perfect balance of performance and value.
Fischer Carbonlite Skate: Featuring Fischer's Air Core Composite frame, this ski tracks and feels much more like a real ski than the RC5 and RC7. It's an incredibly high-performing rollerski at a slightly cheaper price point than the Speedmax.
Fischer Speedmax Skate: If you're looking for the lightest, highest performing rollerski on the market, the Speedmax is the ski for you! Also built on Fischer's Air Core Composite frame, this ski flexes and glides more like a real ski than any skate ski we've tested.

The Boulder Nordic Junior Racing Team (BNJRT) serves skiers aged 8-18 in the Boulder area! We offer a summer training program to keep skiers fit during the off-season, with the winter season starting in September. No matter your child's ability level, we provide racing opportunities throughout the state of Colorado with opportunities to travel nationally for those who are interested. New to skiing? Don't worry about it! Our coaches cater to all ability levels, from beginners just learning how to ski to seasoned veterans looking to qualify for Junior Nationals and beyond.
If you or someone you know might be interested in joining the team, check out our website at bnjrt.ski, or email info@bnjrt.ski.
We've put out the BNS Magazine every year since 2008, providing all kinds of insights into products, wax tips, Nordic news, and more. This year, we're going paperless for the first time!
Going digital will allow us to send out five editions instead of one, giving you more of the information and articles you've grown to love over the years. The first edition will come out in late September with subsequent issues published roughly every two weeks through mid-November. For those who still want a physical copy, each edition of the magazine will be easy to download and print.
One of the challenges we face by going digital is that our magazine mailing list has only physical addresses. We need your help by confirming that we have an updated email address (and telling your ski friends to update theirs)! If you missed out last week, use the link below to confirm your address to avoid getting a reminder card in the fall.
