Boulder Summer Training Camp
2025
Two Norwegians are offering a summer cross-country ski training camp in Boulder in July. This is not affiliated with Boulder Nordic Sport, but we support Henrik and Kristoffer in their camp.
--------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to summer ski training! We are really looking forward to helping you improve and having a good time. The plan is to show you some of the work we have done with training groups in Norway, and give you the tools to keep developing your skills. Both of us work full time with cross country skiing and fitness, and we think we have a lot to offer. You will hopefully be challenged during these weeks, in both endurance, strength, speed, and technique.
Key notes
● Most sessions will be around 1,5 hours long, with some exceptions. If you have to leave the session a bit early because of work or any other reasons that is perfectly fine.
● The schedule above is based on last year's experience. The starting time of the morning sessions Monday to Friday is set to 07:30 AM so one can join before work, without it being too early.
● All levels of ability (and training objectives) are welcome! We will always meet together, and may split into groups based on attendance and goals for the session.
● The full schedule is pretty packed, but you don't have to attend all the sessions. Older athletes with competitive goals for the next season are encouraged to attend all/most of the sessions, and everyone else can pick a subset that fits their individual goals and schedule.
● If you don't have classic roller skis, don't worry - you can come on skate skis on days marked as RS Classic, and vice versa. Let us know if there is any equipment
● For RS sessions helmets are required. Gloves, elbow and knee pads are recommended (especially for beginner skiers).
● We are collecting donations to help cover travel expenses for the trip from Norway. The recommended donation is $50 per session per athlete or $500 for the whole camp.
The link below is a non-binding sign-up form for the camp. This will both give us an overview of the attendance and give us a way to communicate with you. Last year was a success, and we hope that you want to be a part of it! Rollerski is not a high-risk sport, but attendance is at your own risk. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Coaches

Henrik Skjervold Pedersen
I am a cross country skiing coach for seniors at Team Hedmark Sjusjøen and Team Gjøvik Toten Langrenn in Norway. I have also been working with junior athletes and youth earlier. Before I became a coach I did long distance skiing for a Ski Classics pro team, including races such as Birkebeinerrennet and Vasaloppet. I also have a bachelor’s degree in sports physiology.

Kristoffer Kvarstad
I work as the head Coach for a Lillehammer based team called Team Hedmark Sjusjøen. It’s a group of 35 skiers aged 19-25, all aiming to become world class skiers. Together with Henrik I started our company, and want to keep living by and for skiing and sports. I’m a former cross-country skier, with two international medals from junior Nordic Championships and World Championships. I have always been a sprint specialist, with the fastest 100m time on skis in Norway. I had to end my career due to injuries and illness, but I find it very inspiring to help other athletes, at all levels.
