Fischer Speedmax 100HE Skate Ski

Speedmax 100HE Skate Ski. Fischer's next generation of the Speedmax Helium Ski. The New Speedmax 100HE comes in 3 configurations:

• Skate Plus 610 (plus 28 base, 610 mold) Fischer says this ski is optimized for use at 14°F (-10°C) and warmer
• Skate Plus 61k (plus 28 base, 61k mold) 14°F (-10°C) and warmer
• Skate Cold 610 (cold 31 base, 610 mold) Optimized for use at 28°F (-2°C) and colder. Our feeling is that in dry snow, the inflection point is closer to 20F.

We have found the Plus to be an amazing all-around ski that can handle all track conditions. The 61k is a fast ski that has shorter pressure zones and wheelbase, making it slightly less stable. We have found the 61k to be a great all-around ski in soft to regular track hardness, with it being a bit challenging to ski hard on very hard track. The Cold 610 has longer pressure zones and a bit lower camber, making it ski well in cold, dry snow.

The Speedmax 100HE Skate is the top model with a new race design and, as the RACE CODE seal confirms, has proven itself many times on the World Cup. 

This ski is equipped with innovative Cold Base Bonding technology for optimal wax absorption and grindability as well as liquid-waxable Gliding Sidewalls for reduced friction. For more speed, the Speedmax 100HE has a weight of just 950 grams, making it the lightest and fastest racing ski from Fischer. To protect the base, a thin layer of wax is applied to the skis which must be removed and brushed off before the first use. The Plus version is optimized for use at 14°F (-10°C) and warmer.
