The Salomon S/Race Classic is one of our favorite classic boots. It simply balances everything well - fit is excellent and comfortable for a wide range of foot types, they are light, the classic sole manages striding with a soft flex, but stays torsionally stiff for descending and cornering, they are well-made, a clean design and durable. This is not as light and stiff as the S/Lab classic boot, but it is pretty close and quite an amazing boot. It's hard to beat at the price.
