Flat-bar all-road fitness
Giant FastRoad AR 2
A quick, efficient flat-bar bike that combines road-bike speed with confident handling, 40c tubeless tires and everyday versatility for fitness rides, commuting and light gravel.

Road efficiency without the drop bars
The FastRoad AR 2 brings a fast road-bike feel to a more upright flat-bar position. Its ALUXX aluminum frame, composite fork and hydraulic disc brakes make it efficient and predictable on pavement, while 40c tubeless tires and clearance for up to 42mm add comfort and confidence when the route turns rough.
ALUXX aluminum frame
Giant’s performance-level 6061 alloy frame uses single-butted tubing to balance low weight, strength and everyday durability.
Composite fork
An Advanced-grade composite fork with a composite OverDrive steerer reduces road vibration while preserving precise steering response.
Shimano CUES 1×9
A simple 42T single-ring drivetrain with an 11–41T cassette provides useful range with straightforward shifting and minimal maintenance.
Hydraulic disc brakes
Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic brakes with 160mm rotors deliver consistent stopping power in changing weather and traffic conditions.
40c tubeless tires
Maxxis Re-Fuse 700×40c tubeless tires add grip, comfort and puncture resistance on rough pavement, paths and light gravel.
Approximately 21 lb 11 oz
Giant lists the size Medium at 9.83kg, giving the bike a responsive feel for climbing, accelerating and carrying.
Versatility built into the platform
The FastRoad AR 2 is designed to cover more than one kind of ride. Its frame, contact points and wheel system support daily transportation, sustained fitness riding and mixed-surface exploration without sacrificing speed on pavement.
Flat-bar control
A wide Giant Sport Flat handlebar creates a confident steering position with easy access to braking and shifting.
D-Fuse seatpost
The alloy D-Fuse post is shaped to flex in a controlled direction, helping reduce vibration and sharp impacts from rough surfaces.
OverDrive steering
Giant’s tapered steerer system increases front-end stiffness for accurate handling during hard efforts and quick direction changes.
Tubeless prepared
The wheel and tire system is prepared for tubeless use, supporting lower pressures, improved traction and fewer pinch flats.
Thru-axle chassis
12×100mm front and 12×142mm rear thru-axles improve wheel alignment and braking consistency.
Everyday-ready equipment
Platform pedals, ergonomic grips and a broad-range drivetrain make the bike practical from the first ride.
