Minneapolis World Cup Magic
Hopefully you caught some of this weekend's racing in Minneapolis either live or streamed. It was amazing - a spectacle on course with mind-blowing energy from the tens of thousands of fans on the ground. Thanks to all the people who made it happen, and congrats to Gus Schumacher, Jesse Diggins, and all the racers and volunteers who put on a fantastic show this weekend! Let's do that again soon.

Skin Skis
It's the time of year when temps go up and kick waxing can get tricky and variable. Skins are a great complement to waxable classic skis whether you're a recreational skier or performance racer. You won't see elite-level racers racing on skins, but anyone who doesn't have a professional wax tech should probably consider them at some point. They can be a time-saver to just skip the kick-waxing, or save a good training day in variable or challenging waxing conditions. They are also a great race option for the average citizen racer who may not have the technical skills or wax kit to be successful in difficult waxing conditions. The speed you lose using skins can be greatly outweighed by being able to have solid kick the entire race.

Boulder Wax Clinics!
BNS has offered free wax clinics for years, and we're continuing the tradition for 2023-2024! Most Thursdays throughout the ski season, we host free wax clinics at our Boulder location beginning at 6:15. Learn the basics of glide waxing with an iron, kick-waxing, and ski cleaning. Clinics start out with a how-to session led by an experienced BNS staff member. If there's anything specific you'd like to learn about, please be sure to let us know at the beginning of the session.
After the presentation attendees are encouraged to work on their own equipment under the watch of our seasoned staff. Tools and wax tables are provided; wax can be brought from home or purchased the night of the clinic. We hope to see you there!
