We Are Moving in Boulder!

We’re writing to share an important update about our Boulder locations — one that comes with both a heavy heart and real excitement for what’s ahead.

After more than 20 years in North Boulder, Boulder Cycle Sport North closed Saturday, January 17, 2026.

This space has meant a great deal to us. Boulder Cycle Sport first opened its doors here in 2005, and Boulder Nordic Sport spent its first winter here in 2006. For many of us — staff and customers alike — this shop has been a second home, a meeting place, and a starting point for countless rides. Saying goodbye is not easy.

At the same time, the realities of changing demographics in North Boulder and ongoing challenges in the bike industry have made it increasingly difficult to sustain two full retail locations. After careful thought and some luck in finding an exciting new option, we believe this next step is the right one for the long-term health of our business and our community.

What’s happening next

• North Boulder location closes: Saturday, January 17
• Move period: approximately 10 days
• New location: 3280 Valmont Road
• Reopening at Valmont: We’ll announce the exact date soon.
• South Boulder Store Moves: We will announce the exact date in February.

During this transition:

• Our South Boulder store will remain open and fully operational through the end of ski season. We will move the South Boulder store to Valmont as ski season wraps up.
• We will continue offering bike and ski service in South Boulder until everything moves to Valmont.

Why we’re excited about Valmont

Bringing all of our products, services, and staff together under one roof allows us to create something better than what we could offer separately:

• A larger space with room to expand our bike and nordic offerings
• More of our expert staff in one place
• Faster service turnaround and deeper technical specialization
• Dedicated parking
• Easy access from central Boulder, Denver, and Longmont

Most importantly, this consolidation allows us to invest in a new kind of retail experience — one that supports the next chapter of Boulder Nordic & Cycle Sport and lets us serve you better for years to come.

We’re deeply grateful for the support North Boulder has shown us over the last two decades. This move is not a goodbye to our NoBo shop, but a step toward building a stronger, more sustainable home for it.
